Sustainable project
MATARRANIA is a sustainable development project. We contribute to:
Environmental protection:
- A photovoltaic array supplies power to MATARRANIA.
- More than 95% of our raw material is certifiably organic.
- Water is a limited resource, and MATARRANIA uses rainwater that is purified after collection to comply with health regulations.
- MATARRANIA uses containers manufactured from recycled glass. In the cosmetic lab we minimize the production of waste and we recycle the small amount we generate.
Social justice:
- We support and value local economic activities: agriculture and beekeeping, deeply rooted and linked to the land.
- MATARRANIA prioritizes womens' employment. We offer fair saleries and family-friendly working conditions.
MATARRANIA will donate 0.7% of its annual profits to local sustainable development projects. Funded projects will be announced on our web site.
